Hello Brethren,

I hope your holiday season was filled with fun and excitement and did not include too much snow.

This year our Worshipful Master James asked me to continue to write the Temple Topics articles. I have accepted this duty and will continue to keep you up to date on the happenings of McKinley Lodge.

On December 2nd we had our annual Dinner with Santa. It was an excellent holiday celebration filled with good food and good times. This year Santa gave gifts to 18 children. The excitement and wonder in their eyes really filled the room with warmth. Many people commented to me on how nice it was to have so many children present. It really shows how our lodge is growing with new members. I would like to thank Santa Walt for bringing Christmas cheer to the Lodge. He is fabulous with the children. I would also like to thank everyone who brought a dish to pass. The food was delicious.

We had our installation of officers for McKinley Lodge on December 4th. It was a wonderful evening and we had a very nice crowd in attendance. I would like to congratulate our newly installed officers and wish them the best in the New Year. Brethren, you have a good corps of officers here; I believe it is going to be a fun year. To see a list of the new officers, please look further on in the topics.

I would also like to congratulate our new Master Mason. Brother Jeff Beschta was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on December 9th. The officers did an excellent job on the degree. Next time you see Brother Beschta, make sure you take a moment to congratulate him and welcome him fully into the fraternity.

There are some upcoming events I would like you to know about. On Thursday, January 6, and Thursday, February 3 at 6:00 pm each evening, we will have a dinner prior to the meeting. These dinners are open to all friends and family. Come and join us all for a little fellowship and good food.

On Saturday, February 26th at 6:00 pm we will be having our family movie night. Some popcorn, candy and drinks will be on hand while we watch a movie for the entire family on the big screen. The title has not been decided yet, but if you have any suggestions, let us know.

Hopefully we will see you at one of the upcoming events or meetings. If you would like to attend a meeting or event and need a ride, let us know, we will be able to find someone to give you a lift. Give our secretary, Brother Brian Breitzmann a call (262-784-4176).

Fraternally,

Michael A. Gorgen, P.M.
