April Message - 2011

Post date: Dec 19, 2012 5:51:40 PM

Hello Brethren,

I hope you are all doing well as spring is slowly coming upon us. We can finally start to emerge from our winter shell and maybe get some much needed sunlight.

I would like to share with you how busy your Lodge has been. We have been doing degree work almost non-stop. In February we initiated two men, passed a brother to Fellowcraft, and raised a brother to Master Mason. In March we passed another brother to the degree of Fellowcraft and initiated two more men. It is wonderful having all this degree work with the lodge. And the fact that these Brethren keep moving forward speaks to the efforts that our Counselor, Brother Ryan Mayrand, and those who assist him have done. Our Lodge is growing Brethren. Come to a meeting some night and see the new faces on the sidelines. If you need a ride, contact our Secretary, Brother Brian Breitzmann, and he will be able to help you.

On Thursday, March 3rd, we had a dinner with the youth groups prior to the meeting. Brother Chip Wood made a wonderful Taco dinner for everyone. The food was good and the fellowship was great. Thank-you to everyone who participated. We will be having another dinner prior to the stated meeting on April 7th. The dinner starts at 6:00 pm. Hope to see you there.

Just a reminder that the World Famous All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry to benefit the Waukesha County Food Pantry will be held on Friday, April 8th, from 5 to 7 pm. The cost is $11.00 for adults, $10.00 for seniors, $6.00 for children 5 to 10, children under 5 are free. If you bring a food pantry donation, you will receive a dollar off your ticket price. If you donÃÕ bring a donation, we will donate a dollar on your behalf. This is a great event to help out our community, so please tell your friends and family and come out for a great meal. Also, we always need help running the event. There is always need for servers, ticket takers, people to collect dishes, or others to do dishes. If you can help out, please contact Senior Warden Todd Jaremko.

I would also like to let you know about Elmbrook LodgeÃÔ Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 10th, 8 am to noon, at the McKinley Masonic Center. This is a wonderful, low cost breakfast to take the family to. The food is always fantastic, so please come and support them.

Finally, in April tickets will go on sale for our annual Table Lodge which will be held on Friday, June 17th. This is our huge dinner which includes hors devours, home brew from Brother Ken Gorgen, French Onion Soup, Salad, a German Sausage Platter (Smoked Pork Chop, Knackwurst, Kielbasa, Spaetzle, Red Cabbage), and dessert. Cost of the ticket is $20.00 and will be available from any Lodge Officer or you can call Brother Mike Gorgen (262-820-0812) to reserve your spot.

Hopefully we will see you at one of the upcoming events or meetings.

Fraternally,

Michael A. Gorgen, P.M.
